Professional Ethics – Why They Are Important

Professional Ethics (journal)

ETHICS: defined as “The rules or standards governing the conduct of a person or the members of a profession” (source:

Professional ethics are so important when doing business.  How you conduct yourself will define what kind of business relationships you will develop with future partners and clients.  Having a strong code of ethics allows others to trust and believe in you.  Also important are your personal ethics as those will influence your professional behaviour

People who do not possess ethics of any kind will stoop to low levels of behaviour that can cause problems and hardships for others.  They do not care about anyone but themselves and are only out for personal gain.  They will use whatever means they can to get what they want.  These types of people are almost certainly doomed to failure.  I have come across people like this in both my professional life and my personal life which has caused me to be on my guard when dealing with them.  Some have left seemingly harmless comments on my blog that later were discovered to have harmful links.  When Site Lock notified me of this, I immediately removed the links, to safeguard my blog visitors.  After that happened, I chose to verify all comment authors before approving the comments to appear on my site.  As it turns out, the majority of them have given invalid email addresses, invalid URLs and some are just blatant SPAM.  These people are the ones who do not practice Professional Ethics.

I write this blog as a way of helping people who are interested in learning about network marketing and home business.  I need to keep it safe so that visitors will want to return.  If I stooped to the levels of those mentioned in the last paragraph, it would show a great lack of professional ethics on my part.  That is not how I wish to be known.
